After years of smooth operation, NOTO looks to establish a Business Improvement District

The NOTO Arts District, and bigger group of NOTO is no stranger to hosting little firms. But a new proposal brought to the city council will see the establishment of a small business improvement district.

It is hoped the BID will foster additional advancement and financial investment in the district by opening another revenue stream for the betterment of the region. The action product, which the town council will vote on Tuesday, was introduced by District 1 consultant Christina Valdivia Alcala.

According to Thomas Underwood, the NOTO arts district executive director, establishing a BID is an “equitable” follow exactly where all enterprises contribute to desires and companies not delivered by the metropolis.
